Each year, the Chamber’s Board of Directors has upwards of one-third of its members completing their three-year board service term. In accordance with the bylaws of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Board Nominating Committee will annually submit candidates to replace those directors completing their service term to the Board of Directors for approval.

The 2018 Board Nominating Committee is chaired by Chamber Chairman Patrick Bryant and includes Chamber Chairman-elect Mark Lattanzio, Chamber First Vice Chairman Melonie Hammond-Trace, Immediate Past Chamber Chairman Scott Woods as well as Chappy McKay, Anita Zucker, Mark Marchant, Len Hutchison and Bryan Derreberry. The committee has selected individuals to serve on next year’s Board of Directors and for a subsequent two years.

Additional names of candidates for director may be nominated by petition bearing the signatures of at least 100 qualified members of the Charleston Metro Chamber. The deadline for filing this petition is November 11, 2017. If no petition is filed within this period, the nominations will be closed and the candidates will be declared elected by the Board of Directors at its regular November Board meeting.
