The Chamber is committed to ensuring that current and future generations have career opportunities in our region by enhancing the quantity and quality of the talent in the Charleston metro. We are dedicated to providing programs and services to preserve and attract quality talent in the region and ensure members remain highly competitive and aim to support the talent needs of all business.
Bridging the Talent Gap
The Charleston Metro has no shortage of jobs. In fact, 35,000 jobs will be added to our region in the next five years.
The problem? The people to fill these positions. According to the Talent Demand Study, job growth is primarily within 10 specific occupations, many of which are producing job openings beyond the local graduate output.
We must continue efforts to activate students for our region’s high-demand jobs, advance opportunities for all to succeed after high school and further align our employers and education system.

Alongside developing our future talent, we are working to ensure that the talent business has today is provided the resources and professional development training to grow and expand.
Our Leadership Programs provide member organizations the ability to train and retain their employees. Their employees are becoming more engaged leaders and citizens. And ultimately, we are harnessing the power of our future leaders and enhancing today’s.
Charleston Young Professionals
Charleston Young Professionals (CYP) engages, develops and empowers young professionals, helping them advance in their careers, serve the community and strengthen the Charleston region.
CYP provides the resources young professionals need to make impactful connections, refine their skills, engage the community and transform into leaders. CYP membership provides access to professional development, community engagement and connection programs along with a vast network of fellow young professionals and influential leaders.
