As the voice of the business community, the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Business Advocacy team that works daily to ensure that local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations work for business. To ensure a positive business climate in our region, it is critical that the Advocacy team stays informed on the issues that are important to our membership. This is achieved through member surveys, a committee system, continual dialogue with elected officials, and participation in various coalitions and alliances.
Committees focused on transportation and infrastructure, environmental regulation, development regulation, and education and talent development guide the Chamber’s advocacy efforts. Chamber members are represented at local and regional public meetings including town, city and county council meetings, school board meetings, and more.
