Kick Off a Huge Political Year at Legislative Reception

January 3, 2020

2020 is a monster political year for the Charleston region and South Carolina. Our state’s fourth-in-the-nation Democratic presidential primary will draw a national spotlight on February 29th.

On the state level, every single member of the South Carolina Senate and House of Representatives is up for election in November. At the local level, school boards and county councils in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties will all have seats up for election.

Besides generating sensational news headlines, a big election year also means extra opportunities to exercise your voice. Candidates seeking support at the polls will be out in force and ready to hear from you.

There is no better place to kick off a big 2020 political year than the Chamber’s Legislative Reception on Thursday, January 9th.  We’re on track for a record turnout of elected leaders; it’s also a great opportunity to reconnect with professional contacts after the holiday break.
