The Advocates: PAC Endorsed Candidates

PAC Releases First Slate of Endorsed Candidates

Last month, we covered the basics of Political Action Committees and why the Chamber makes use of this important tool. The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce PAC is essential to supporting candidates that contribute to a positive business climate for the Charleston region’s business community.

Today, the PAC Board is releasing their first slate of Chamber PAC endorsed candidates before the June 14 primary. The races include many of the county council offices in both Charleston and Dorchester Counties.  The PAC Board will make additional endorsement decisions before the general election on November 8.

The candidates endorsed below have been vetted through the PAC interview process, which includes written questionnaire responses and an interview with one of the PAC interview teams. All filed candidates were invited to participate. In each case, the endorsed candidates sought the PAC endorsement and participated in the selection process. Endorsed candidates have strong alignment with the Chamber’s key policy priorities and strong vision for the future of their county.
