Understanding the Chamber's Advocacy in the State House

December 13, 2019

The 2020 session of the South Carolina Legislature will convene in less than one month. This means that our Senior Director of Legislative Relations, George Ramsey, will be back in Columbia ensuring that our region’s business community is well-represented among policymakers.

View the video below, featuring George and Willis Cantey, Chamber Chairman-elect, to learn how we develop our Legislative Agenda, how we prioritize legislative issues and why we spend time in Columbia.

Finally, please join us on January 9th at the South Carolina Aquarium for our 2020 Legislative Reception. Last year’s Reception brought together more than 75 state and local elected officials from across the tri-county as well as hundreds of Chamber members from the region. There is no better opportunity to make meaningful connections with government representatives and fellow business leaders than this event.
