American Legion – Memorial Day Ceremony

Invitation from Larry Dandridge to Pay Respects to Our Fallen Military Men and Women and their Families on Memorial Day, 30 May 2022, at 1:30 PM, at Live Oak Memorial Gardens (Outside)

Dear Friends,

Thank you, to our military members, veterans, and family members for your brave and selfless military service to our great nation.  Thank you folks who have not served in the military as a Marine, Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Merchant Mariner, or Coastguardsman for supporting our military members, veterans, and their families.

I will be the keynote speaker at the American Legion-sponsored Memorial Day Ceremony, on Monday, 30 May 2022, at 1:30 PM, at Live Oak Memorial Gardens (large cemetery near Shadow Moss Subdivision), located at 3093 Ashely River Road (Highway 61), Charleston, SC 29414.

The ceremony is well attended each year by citizens, veterans, and active-duty members from throughout Charleston and is covered by all of the major networks.  I was invited to be the guest speaker by John Coy, the Commander of American Legion Post 179, who is also the American Legion District Commander.  The ceremony is open to the public.

I would love to have you, your families, and your friends join me and attend this solemn ceremony, where we can together pay our sincere respects and gratitude to all those military men and women who gave the last full measure for our great nation and each other.

The risk of COVID infection spread should be near zero because the ceremony is being held outside and there is plenty of space for social distancing.
