L-R: Quincy Rice, Debra Ohstrom, Lindsey Asarch, Richard Waring, Kathleen Stevens, Carson Davis, Jennifer Di Cenzo, Joyce Costello, Tracey Sigler, Lauren Ellis, Kelly Nix, Louise Lawton, Natasha Balarezo and Anetra Smalls.

On April 7, Trident United Way and the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce celebrated the graduates of the Lead United Spring Class of 2022. A comprehensive community leadership and nonprofit board development program, Lead United educates professionals and develops skills for board-level service opportunities.

“The goal of Lead United is to expose motivated leaders with a passion for our Tri-County region to the importance of the nonprofit sector and how their skills and expertise can help shape the future,” said Amanda Sito, Director of Strategic Volunteer Engagement for Trident United Way.

The class concluded with a panel discussion featuring Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce board members Janet Bates (JE Dunn Construction) and Mamie Bush (Hilton Garden Inn Charleston Waterfront/Downtown) and Trident United Way board members Brad Davis (Community Volunteer) and Arnold Singleton (Santee Cooper).

“Lead United is a wonderful and comprehensive guide into board stewardship that has given me not only additional knowledge, but also the confidence to see myself as a contributing board member,” said Natasha Balarezo, a graduate of the Spring Class of 2022.

Session dates and application for the Fall Class are posted online at tuw.org/lead-united.
