Locums Firm Has Back-to-Back Wins as Staffing Industry Analysts’ Best Staffing Firm to Temp For

Locums staffing firm, Floyd Lee Locums, was awarded its second consecutive win for Grand Prize Winner,Best Staffing Firm to Temp For. The company previously took home top honors in 2020—and now repeats at the top spot on Staffing Industry Analysts’ (SIA) 2021 ranking. In addition, the locums organization was also named back-to-back winner of Best Staffing Firm to Work For, an honor recognizing their internal culture.

“Our team lives by the motto: ‘By connecting clinicians to purposeful work, we impact lives,’” said Floyd Lee Locums CEO and co-founder Natasha Lee. “We take our responsibility to healthcare providers, healthcare facilities and the patients they serve seriously—and it’s a privilege to be recognized for that calling and cause two years running.”

SIA’s Best Staffing Firms is an annual recognition program that awards industry leaders across staffing for their ability to engage and deploy talent, their workforce solutions and employee culture. The award for Best Staffing Firm to Temp For reflects the feedback submitted by Floyd Lee Locum’s physicians, dentists and other clinicians across the care spectrum, whereas Best Staffing Firm to Work For is selected via feedback received from internal employees on the quality of a company’s culture.

“Being in private practice so long, I was nervous about starting a locums career,” said Floyd Lee Locums physician, Dr. Catherine Smith. “The team was proactive, calming and reassuring—and I felt they really vetted the facility and knew the details to make me successful. I walked right into an unfamiliar facility and knew exactly what to do.”

SIA’s Best Staffing Firmsprogram is conducted across the entire temporary staffing industry, including healthcare, technology, financial accounting and creative services. They survey all of the employees of an agency as well as those working for the company in a temporary or contract position. The ranking considers seven key engagement categories in its evaluation, including communication and resources; individual needs; manager effectiveness; personal engagement; team dynamics; trust in leadership; and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

“This is an incredible honor that we do not take lightly”, shared co-founder and chairman of the board, Matt Floyd. “Being recognized in this manner is truly a pinnacle of achievement and speaks to our growth and excitement in the market place.”

Close to 250 firms sought participation in the program this year, which was conducted by SIA in conjunction with Quantum Workplace, an Omaha, NE-based company. Internal employees at each firm were asked to complete an online survey that measured key engagement categories, focusing on items including teamwork, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, manager effectiveness, compensation and benefits. In order to gather statistically sound results, participating companies must have reached a minimum level of employee participation, based on their total number of employees. Companies were ranked in each category according to their overall score. Winners were chosen based entirely on the survey results.
