As a Metro Chamber, we felt it was important to step forward to play a key role in leading our region’s businesses in creating an inclusive and diverse society where everyone has the opportunity to live, learn and earn. In 2020, we introduced a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion(DE&I) Executive Fellow to our team, hosted a virtual DE&I conference and released a Resource Guide to help organizations on their DE&I journey.

The inaugural SC Leadership Exchange brought together leaders from South Carolina’s three largest metros to have dialogues and build connections across the state. The three-day, virtual conference facilitated valuable conversations around creating an equitable South Carolina, housing and infrastructure challenges, economic recovery and resiliency and developing and attracting a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Although the pandemic has made 2020 an extremely challenging year, we continue to be impressed as organizations are more dedicated than ever to ensuring their employees are taken care of. Our community has truly come together to support one another. The Chamber quickly created a resource guide and has hosted over 90 webinars to help you navigate the pandemic.
