The Charleston Metro Chamber is pleased to announce its partnership with the Carolinas-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council (CVMSDC). The Chamber’s corporate partnership with CVMSDC is part of the Council’s business expansion and strategic alignment with chambers across its footprint in South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.
In addition to the Chamber’s membership in the Council, the Chamber welcomes CVMSDC as its newest member. As a non-profit member organization, CVMSDC partners with major corporations, financial institutions, government agencies and universities that operate within North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia to enhance business opportunities for minority-owned companies. The organization provides support by developing mutually beneficial networking opportunities with corporate partners and promoting minority business development.
“This is a natural fit between the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and CVMSDC. As part of our affiliation with NMSDC, we represent more than 12,000 Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) nationwide,” said CVMSDC President and CEO, Dominique Milton. “Working within our national and local chambers, we can impact economic growth by building business relationships between businesses and major corporate partners with supply chain opportunities.”
Milton, a graduate of Leadership Charleston, is actively working to align and strengthen collaborations between CVMSDC and chambers throughout the region.
“Our partnership with the Carolinas-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council represents key alignment with the Chamber’s priority to ensure our region is a place where all people and businesses flourish,” said Bryan Derreberry, Charleston Metro Chamber President and CEO. “This partnership offers exciting opportunities to advance our region and develop the economy.”
