Taking Precautions with COVID-19

Like many of you, we are continuing to monitor the evolution of COVID-19 in our country and our community. While the current times are uncertain and many of us are feeling anxious for what’s to come, the Chamber will continue to serve as a resource for your organization and team members.

The health and wellness of our community members and staff is incredibly important to us. As we continue to learn about more confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Carolina, we are following the recommendations set forth by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

As the situation evolves, we may need to postpone or cancel Chamber programs and events to ensure the safety of members and staff. We will continue to keep you informed of any changes to our programming. You can also check our events page for the latest updates on event status.

In the meantime, based on the recommendations of the CDC, we encourage you to not attend events if you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19, have been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed or if you or someone in your household has traveled to a country on the CDC’s Level 3 watch list in the last 30 days.

We encourage you to continue to connect with the Chamber and fellow members on our Facebook page, in our Facebook groups, and on Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

We share the community’s goal of minimizing the impact on our region and healthcare providers by looking to our public health experts for guidance related to COVID-19. Here are some additional resources for your reference:

We have also created a Resource Guide and will continue to add new resources as they become available. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this evolving challenge one day at a time. We hope to maintain business as usual, but also want to ensure we’re aligning with best practices to do all we can to keep our community healthy.
