SBA Administrator Jovita Carranza to Visit Charleston Thursday, September 24

Administrator Jovita Carranza, head of the U.S. Small Business Administration and advocate for America’s nearly 32 million small businesses, will visit Charleston on Thursday, September 24, 2020.

The Administrator will visit veteran-owned small businesses and meet with local leaders to highlight the success of the Paycheck Protection Program.

Media is invited to join Administrator Carranza as she visits Hannah Government Solar Services and Coastal Coffee Roasters and Oak Road Brewery in Summerville, SC.

Hannah Solar Government Services (HSGS) is a veteran owned small business that specializes in global energy security by designing and building solar technology, energy storage, and microgrid systems. Serving utility, federal government, and commercial/industrial clients, HSGS performs work across the United States and overseas. HSGS is also this year’s Region IV 2020 National Small Businesses Week Subcontractor of the Year recipient. The virtual National Small Business Week event, held September 22-24, includes numerous educational panels providing retooling and innovative practices for entrepreneurs as our nation’s small businesses look to pivot and recover toward a stronger economy.

Coastal Coffee Roasters is a veteran-owned coffee roaster and sandwich shop that has been open since 2010. Coastal Coffee Roasters began as a simple idea: to share their family’s passion for fresh, organic coffee with the world.
