Navy Medicine Summer Internship is a virtual, three-week experience for HBCU/MI undergraduate students interested in Naval careers as physicians, nurses, dentists and biomedical technicians/researchers supporting the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED). This program is designed to give students unprecedented access to life as a Navy Medical Corps Officer and provide exposure to the application process and professional writing. In summary, selected participants will spend time in each of the 4 disciplines, raising awareness of the opportunities in Navy Medicine as well as gaining an edge when applying for a prestigious career and scholarship in the Navy.
To be eligible for the internship, students must be U.S. citizens, currently enrolled in an accredited four-year HBCU/MI with a minimum grade point average of 3.0, majoring in either of the following:
In addition, students must have a valid driver’s license and will be required to complete a background check prior to the start of the internship.
