Our Lady of Mercy Outreach Community Updates

Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach knows that an especially difficult path lay ahead for many. Our priority during this time is to remain a place of support for the community. This means we will continue with direct services as long as it is safe to do so to support those who will be greatly impacted by lack of wages, school closures, lack of access to food, etc. In order to safely support our community, staff and volunteers, we are offering emergency services to those in the community serve (James, Johns, Wadmalaw Islands and downtown Charleston) area and discontinuing nonessential programs and services until further notice. We will continue to provide updates periodically on our website and social media platforms.

At this time:

  • Emergency services (food, clothing, financial assistance)  continue to operate at both locations Monday through Thursday, from 10am-1:30pm
  • Our soup kitchen is pick-up only bag lunches from 12pm – 1pm each weekday
