Mentor-Driven Growth for Emerging Leaders

Leadership Discovery is a comprehensive program designed for emerging leaders passionate about strengthening their skills, learning from experienced professionals and connecting with peers at similar stages in their careers. Through in-depth mentor sessions, participants engage directly with accomplished leaders, from a variety of industries, who share the experiences that shaped their leadership journeys. These intimate discussions provide valuable opportunities to ask questions, delve into leadership challenges and gain practical insights that participants can immediately put into action.

2026 Leadership Discovery Mentors include:

Curriculum:

6 Mentor-Led Sessions

  • Mentor-led sessions provide an opportunity to learn from the challenges and successes of established business leaders.

NBI® Thinking Preferences Assessment and Orientation Workshop

  • Facilitated by Mary Jo Romeo, Certified Executive Coach with MJR Coaching + Consulting, the NBI® Thinking Preferences Assessment helps participants better understand how they think and approach their work with greater creativity.

3-Course Business Etiquette Dinner

  • 3-course business etiquette dinner provides practical experience and builds confidence in professional dining settings.

Program Timeframe:

Class Runs: September 15, 2026 - November 4, 2026

  • Weekly, in-person sessions are held at the Charleston Metro Chamber's headquarters.
    • Tuesday, September 15: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
    • Monday, September 21: 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
    • Tuesday, September 29: 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
    • Tuesday, October 6: 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
    • Tuesday, October 13: 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
    • Tuesday, October 20: 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
    • Tuesday, October 27: 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
    • Tuesday, November 4 (Graduation & Etiquette Dinner): 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Ideal Candidates:

  • High-potential leaders, within 3-8 years of their career start, seeking mentorship and guidance to refine their leadership approach.
