With the last few weeks of summer winding down, football season on the horizon and the midterm elections in November, the Chamber’s Government Relations team is beginning to look forward to the next legislative session, which begins in January.

With that in mind, over the next couple of months we will be meeting with members, delegation members and our advocacy partners, among others, to begin narrowing down what will go into our 2023 Legislative Agenda. We want to hear from you! If you or your business have suggestions, ideas or input on potential legislation that your Chamber team and Business Advocacy Committee should take a look into, now is the time to let us know.

Please submit your suggestion to me at gramsey@charlestonchamber.org and include any helpful information on what can be done at the state level to help your business or industry here, either locally or statewide. You can also give me a call at 843-805-3116. We will vet the requests through the Business Advocacy Committee in the coming months as we develop next year’s agenda.
