The Advocates: Make Informed Decisions on School Board Elections

In an unprecedented election year for the Charleston County School Board of Trustees, the Chamber is partnering with the League of Women Voters to inform, educate and empower the residents of Charleston County to understand the public policy issues and make informed voting decisions.

Before attending the Chamber’s Charleston County School Board Forums, in partnership with the League of Women Voters, we encourage members to attend a two-part virtual forum presented by The Charleston Forum. The forum will focus on electing qualified Tri-County School Boards in 2022. On September 28 and 29, you will hear diverse perspectives of trusted voices in the education community and attendees must register in advance. To register and learn more about the panelists, click here.

All candidates that have filed to run for a Charleston County School Board of Trustees seat have been invited to one of the three forums and the forums are broken down by district. Candidates from districts one, two and three will be at the Chamber on Monday, October 3 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Candidates from districts seven, eight and nine will be at the Chamber on Thursday, October 6 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Lastly, candidates from district four, five and six will be at the Chamber on Thursday, October 13 from 6 – 7:30 p.m.
