As you know, the Mark Clark Extension to the James Island Connector has been a top Chamber priority for more than 10 years. Thankfully with the project moving forward again, the South Carolina Department of Transportation has opened its public comment period.

We need your help! To show support for the project you can visit the public hearing virtual meeting room on the Mark Clark website. You can also view the maps and check project status updates there, too.

We would greatly appreciate it if you would leave a public comment to show your support for this critical regional project. It doesn’t have to be long or super descriptive – you can say something as simple as, “I support the Mark Clark Extension. It is a much needed project that will ease traffic congestion in West Ashley, James Island and Johns Island.”
