Charleston County Parks’ Latin American Festival Returns

The tastes, traditions, and fun of Latin America and the Caribbean come back to the Lowcountry this fall

[North Charleston] – Celebrate Charleston’s vibrant Latin and Caribbean cultures at the Latin American Festival, Sunday, Oct. 10 at Wannamaker County Park! Charleston County Parks invites you to immerse yourself in authentic music, art, food, and activities, all inspired by cultures and traditions from Latin America and the Caribbean.

This year’s festival will be held from 12 – 5 p.m. Non-stop music will include everything from the beats of merengue, to reggaeton, bachata and salsa. Live bands will play throughout the day with DJ Luigi Bravo spinning the hottest hits between sets. The lively festival will also feature an educational area presented by the Charleston County Public Library.

This year’s live music lineup will feature UltimaNota, Orquestra Mayor, and Fulanito.

The performance schedule is:

After visitors work up an appetite on the dance floor, they’re invited to get a taste of cuisine from Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean – from flavorful empanadas to tasty arroz con pollo – along with traditional festival foods and beverages.

Event admission to the Latin American Festival is $10. College students and members of the military receive a discounted rate of $5 with a valid ID. Gold Pass holders and children ages 12 and under are free. No outside food, alcohol or coolers permitted. No pets allowed.
