NAI Charleston, a leading full-service commercial real estate firm headquartered in Charleston, announced the arrival of the very first Starbucks to the town of Hartsville, SC. Will Sherrod, CCIM, represented the owner of The Shops at Hartsville, the shopping center where the national chain now resides. From here began the creation and carve out of a pad site for a freestanding Starbucks. A lease was negotiated with Starbucks, and Sherrod organized the development team and oversaw design and construction. The asset was sold as a Net Leased investment upon completion for $1.475 million. Keller Williams Realty represented the buyer.
“I am very happy to have been able to put this deal together—not only for the owners of the center, but also for the Town of Hartsville, which we received tremendous reception from as well,” said Will Sherrod, CCIM of NAI Charleston. “It is a win/win for everyone involved and I am glad to have been able to be an integral part of the process.”
