Reading Partners Looks to Ensure that all 800 Students Have Home Libraries
A future built on books

As we move through these uncertain times, we are inspired by the good that is happening all around us. While our students are out of the classroom, our education community has found ways to bring the classroom directly into our children’s living rooms. The kitchen table has replaced students’ desks at school. School buses now deliver meals to our most vulnerable students who might not otherwise have enough to eat.

During this time, Reading Partners remains steadfast to our purpose–to provide students with the reading support they need to be successful in school and life. We are committed to not let our students slip backwards after how hard they have worked this year.

Now more than ever, we need your help to ensure that all 800 of our students have home libraries so that they can continue to practice their reading outside of the classroom and during the upcoming summer months.

Please help by sponsoring a reading backpack for one or more students which will fill their homes with books and reading activities designed to prevent reading loss while they are out of school. We are working on a distribution plan with our education partners to ensure students receive a backpack, even if schools do not resume this year.

Though we don’t know what the coming weeks hold, we do know that your support powers what we do and will keep our students moving forward.
