CHARLESTON, SC – September 2021 – Scott Peevy, CCIM, of NAI Charleston, represented three landlords and three tenants in six total lease transactions this summer.
Peevy assisted Advertisecast, an advertising firm, in finding a new home in downtown Charleston at 171 Church Street in The Franke Building. David Grubbs of NAI Charleston represented the landlord.
Two suites in the First Citizens’ building at 2170 Ashley Phosphate were leased– one to Physician’s Eyecare Plan, an insurance company, and the other to Regency Hospice, a home care assistance company. Peevy represented the landlord in both transactions. Gregg Legerton of Avison Young represented Physician’s Eyecare Plan, and Dan Brown of Swearingen represented Regency Hospice.
895 Island Park in Daniel Island was leased to ATCS, PLC an engineering firm. Peevy represented the landlord and Brady Dashiell of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant. He also represented the landlord in a lease to a GSA agency in an office building downtown Charleston.
“It is exciting to see new and renewed activity in the office leasing sector in Charleston,” commented Peevy. “Recovering from a stall caused by the pandemic, some key metrics still show an abnormally high amount of vacancy in certain submarkets. However, tenants are still active as they reposition their office needs post covid. It appears that the demand will continue, and we should see vacancy rates decrease over time.”
