South Carolina Federal Appoints New Board, Supervisory Committee Members

South Carolina Federal Credit Union is pleased to add Joe Daning to its Board of Directors and Robert Bendetti to its Supervisory Committee.

As a member of the Board of Directors, Daning will help establish, review and approve credit union policies and provide strategic guidance and governance oversight. He has been a member of South Carolina Federal for over 40 years and has served as a volunteer advisor since February 2004 and as a Supervisory Committee member since November 2004.

Bendetti was appointed to the Supervisory Committee after serving as a volunteer advisor for South Carolina Federal since 2014. As a member of the Supervisory Committee, Bendetti will help determine that the credit union’s financial condition is accurately and fairly presented in financial statements and that the organization’s management procedures and practices are adequate to safeguard members’ assets.

“Our Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee provide critical guidance and ensure that we meet the highest standards of member service and organizational management,” said Scott Woods, president and CEO of South Carolina Federal. “Joe and Robert have both contributed so much to our credit union. We appreciate their leadership and are grateful that they continue to volunteer their time to serve our members and communities.”

Daning holds an associate’s degree in business from Trident Technical College, a bachelor’s degree in workforce education and development from Southern Illinois University and a master’s degree in business and management from Webster University.
