The Advocates: Chamber PAC Announces Several Key Endorsements For June Primaries

The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (PAC) is pleased to announce its slate of endorsements ahead of the upcoming primary elections on June 9.

About the Endorsement Process

As with all Chamber PAC endorsements, candidates are thoroughly vetted through an established review process that includes a written questionnaire and an interview with members of the PAC Board. All candidates in selected races were invited to participate. Those receiving endorsements demonstrated a strong ability to serve effectively, a clear alignment with the Chamber’s key policy priorities and a thoughtful vision for the future of our region.

S.C. House District 99 (Republican Primary)

Jarrod Brooks

Brooks brings both private-sector leadership and public service experience to the table as a small business owner and current Berkeley County Councilman. A longtime Lowcountry resident and community advocate, he has focused on responsible growth, quality of life and bringing a practical, business-minded approach to local government.

Charleston County Council District 9 (Republican Primary)

Caroline Parker

A former member of Charleston City Council, a resident of John’s Island and a mom, Caroline’s priorities include improving our infrastructure, combatting flooding, smart growth and fiscal responsibility.

Dorchester County Council Disrict 7 (Republican Primary)

Jennifer Kunda

Jennifer Kunda is a dedicated small business owner, wife and mother of two. Her experience includes serving five years on the Dorchester County Planning Commission, and her priorities center around intelligent growth, infrastructure improvements, increased public safety and fair tax policies.

Political decisions and election outcomes at both the state and local levels have lasting impacts on the business community. By remaining engaged in the political process, businesses can help support leaders and policies that foster a stable, predictable and competitive environment for economic growth. The Chamber PAC is proud to support these candidates and their commitment to strengthening our region’s future.
