The Advocates: Don’t Miss Your Chance to Join Us at the 2026 Legislative Reception

As we prepare to kick off the 2026 legislative session, our Business Advocacy Committee has been hard at work shaping a bold, solutions-driven agenda focused on strengthening our region’s competitiveness and quality of life. I’m excited to share several key priorities already identified for the upcoming year:

2026 Legislative Priorities:

  • Affordability and Accessibility of Dependent Care
  • SCDOT Modernization
  • Building Competitive Communities
  • Military Support and Mission Resilience
  • Housing Supply and Attainability
  • Insurance Affordability and Stability

These issues reflect what we’re hearing from employers and partners throughout the region, and they will guide our advocacy efforts at the Statehouse in the year ahead.

Our annual Legislative Reception, presented by Roper St. Francis Healthcare, is your opportunity to engage directly with the policymakers shaping South Carolina’s future. More than 75 elected officials from Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester will be in attendance.

Whether you’re looking to build strategic relationships, share your perspective on the challenges facing your organization, or simply stay informed, this event is one you won’t want to miss.
