Chamber Welcomes Samantha Damato as Leadership & Workforce Development Coordinator

The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Samantha Damato to the team as the new Leadership & Workforce Development Coordinator. In this role, Samantha will play a key part in the planning, execution and evaluation of the Chamber’s leadership and workforce initiatives, ensuring programs are seamlessly delivered, mission-aligned and responsive to member needs. From coordinating logistics and managing partnerships to supporting volunteer engagement and analyzing program impact, Samantha will help shape experiences that cultivate talent, foster connection and strengthen our regional workforce.

Samantha brings a dynamic blend of experience and energy to the Chamber. With a professional background in nonprofit work, volunteer administration and event planning, she is well-versed in community engagement and program coordination. Prior to joining the Chamber, she worked with Landmarks for Families, where she cultivated deep connections and a passion for service.

Originally from Pleasant Hills, California, Samantha later lived in Oklahoma City before making her home in the Charleston region. She now resides in West Ashley with her beloved Maltipoo, Rosie.

Samantha is driven by a desire to build meaningful relationships and create spaces where people feel empowered and uplifted. That same spirit will be at the heart of her work at the Chamber whether she’s coordinating professional development experiences or supporting programs that help others grow, lead and connect.

“Samantha brings with her a background in nonprofit work, volunteer administration and event planning, skills that are perfectly aligned with the goals of our Workforce & Education and Leadership Center teams,” said Celeste Granger, Senior Vice President of Programs & Initiatives. “Her experience and enthusiasm make her a fantastic addition to our team. We’re thrilled to have her onboard and excited to see her thrive in this role as we continue to expand our impact across the region.”

Beyond her professional work, Samantha’s creativity finds expression in an unexpected place: floral design. A florist for nearly six years, she still believes that a thoughtfully arranged bouquet can brighten any room or someone’s day.

Please join us in welcoming Samantha to the Chamber community!
