Grace Hamilton Selected to the Diversity Leaders Initiative’s Seventeenth Lowcountry Class

Grace Hamilton, Director of Diversity Equity and Inclusion at the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce has been selected as a member of the Diversity Leaders Initiative’s (DLI) 17th Lowcountry class. The DLI program is run by the Riley Institute at Furman University and equips participants with the skills and perspectives necessary to leverage diversity in their organizations in ways that drive social and economic progress in South Carolina.

For the next five months, Grace will engage with fellow Lowcountry leaders in intensive discussions and scenario analyses that allow them to openly examine sensitive issues related to diversity and inclusion. DLI class members will work on capstone community projects designed to address challenges and seize opportunities in the Lowcountry.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will become part of a statewide network of over 2,700 Riley Fellows, who represent companies, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and government entities throughout South Carolina. We congratulate Grace on her selection and look forward to what she will bring back to the Chamber from this experience.
