The Charleston Metro Chamber Welcomes New Addition to Talent Team

The Charleston Metro Chamber is pleased to announce Celeste Granger has joined the Chamber team as Director of Talent Initiatives. In this role, she will serve as a liaison for business and industry partners, developing relationships and supporting employers’ talent and workforce needs in alignment with education partners throughout the region, including the Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester County School Districts and Trident Technical College. She will also support the Chamber’s talent and workforce efforts through talent pipeline initiatives that further assist employer’s talent attraction, recruitment and retention efforts.

“I am thrilled to have Celeste join our talent team,” states Senior Vice President of Talent Advancement, Barbara Stapleton. “She has the ability to collaborate, while developing deep connections with our partners, and will excel in aligning our vision with the talent and workforce needs in the community. Her depth of experience in higher education and fostering industry partnerships to generate career pathways will be invaluable to the work we do to support the Charleston region.”

Before joining the Chamber, Celeste spent most of her career in higher education as Employer Relations Manager with the Citadel Career Center and, most recently, Associate Director of Residence Life at the College of Charleston. Her experience in higher education ranges from academic advising, living learning communities, teaching, residence life, career services, conduct and Title IX hearing officer and Federal TRIO grant programs.

Celeste moved from Pensacola, Florida in 2010 and has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Relations and Master of Education in College Student Personnel Administration from the University of West Florida. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors with her family, boating, fishing and woodworking.
