CYP Steering Committee Spotlight: Michael Samuel

Michael Samuel is a commercial portfolio manager with BB&T now Truist Bank where he works with mid-size corporations all across the South Carolina region to facilitate construction projects, equipment purchases, mergers and acquisitions, and working capital needs. He is also the CEO and Founder of MikeSamFitness where he does personal training and Crossfit Coaching.  In regards to community involvement, Michael is all in on helping his community thrive. His list of involvement includes: CYP Steering Committee, Global Fluency Steering Committee through CRDA, Charleston Habitat for Humanity board of directors, Trident United Way Young Leaders United Council as well as on the BOD for TUW, and lastly the chair of the African American Affinity group for the South Carolina Region for BB&T now Truist Bank.

Michael received in dual degree from Georgia State University in Business Economics and Risk Management and Insurance in December of 2015. He also received the HBX Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School in December of 2015. Michael completed the BB&T Leadership Development Program in June of 2016. Lastly, Michael has passed two levels of  the CFA exams and sat  for level 3 in May 2021.

Michael resides in Mount Pleasant and in his spare time is an avid traveler, Crossfit coach, personal trainer, read, and plays tennis.
