The Advocates: 2024 Legislative Agenda Ask
| With the 2023 session behind us, we are shifting our focus to studying new issues and policies that may make it on to the 2024 Legislative Agenda. Over the next couple months, I will meet with Chamber members, legislators and advocacy partners to learn more about their priority issues and alignment with the Chamber. Beginning in August, the Business Advocacy Committee (BAC) will take a deep dive into policy issues like childcare, comprehensive tax reform and indexing unemployment to economic conditions. Then in the fall, the BAC will choose which legislative items to add to the 2024 Agenda and make their recommendations to the Chamber Board and Executive Committee. While these boards are by nomination only, I encourage all Chamber members to reach out about any legislative challenges their business is facing.
