Recently, Mayor William Cogswell unveiled significant updates to the organizational structure of the City of Charleston. Aimed at “enhancing efficiency and improving customer service for its residents,” the organization will now be split into four sections: Facilities & Capital Projects; Community Services; Planning, Permitting & Engineering; and Public Works.
The Chamber is eager to see how these changes, under the leadership of Mayor Cogswell, will streamline development processes, improve planning and zoning practices and increase the quality of life for residents.
