THE MISSION

The Group Sales Director is expected to:

  • Provide sales and marketing support to licensed Agents and Brokers.
  • Increase sales of individual, senior, and/or group medical and ancillary business.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
  • Communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, and other external sources.
  • Enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information, in written or electronic form.

A SNAPSHOT OF EXCITING THINGS YOU WILL DO:

  • Agent’s problems and concerns.
  • Discuss goods or services information with Agents.
  • Respond to Agent problems or complaints.
  • Follow up with Agents routinely.
  • Maintain financial or account records.
  • Refer customers or Agents to appropriate personnel.
  • Execute sales or other financial transactions.
  • Prepare documentation for contracts, transactions, or regulatory compliance.
  • Provide notifications to customers or Agents.
  • Coordinate operational activities.
  • Promote products, services, or programs.
  • Promote agency continuing education classes and carrier training classes.
  • Attend all professional development training offered by the agency and carriers, as well as staff and agent meetings.
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines regarding confidential information.

  • A positive attitude, assertive, dependable, and energetic.
  • Use reasoning to determine alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years working knowledge and understanding of fully insured and level funded small and large group health and ancillary products is required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of small group Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA).
  • Must be able to work well on a team.
