Lowcountry Food Bank is looking for a Warehouse Coordinator/Flex Driver

The Warehouse Coordinator/Flex Driver is a critical position of the operations team. As the point person for all product coming into the warehouse, you will be responsible for the safe, orderly, and accurate receiving of all product with a focus on food safety. You will be responsible for helping unload trucks, weighing product, entering product into CERES database, moving perishables to the fridge/freezer in a timely manner, moving non-perishables to their proper location, and helping to support the FIFO (First in, First Out) inventory method. Additionally, you will work with daily volunteers to provide them direction, overview, and instruction to ensure all product is properly sorted, sanitized, inspected, labeled and safe for human consumption.


The ideal candidate must have one year of experience driving a box truck, two years’ experience working in warehouse operations and exhibit excellent customer service skills. Must have computer system experience specifically working with databases; have a resourceful approach to problem solving and trouble-shooting; have the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail; handle interruptions; maintain focus on producing quality work; have strong customer service skills; and have computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and up to 1,000 lbs. with assistance of equipment.
