RND Consultants is looking for a Project Developer

Position Description

RND Consultants, Inc. is a small and growing company providing engineering, real estate, and construction solutions to public and private clients with a focus in transportation and real estate development. We are currently seeking a Project Manager (Professional Engineering License or Real Estate Experience preferred but not required) to oversee both our private and public-sector transportation and real estate activities including business development duties.

We are seeking qualified applicants who will:

The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the management of the South Carolina office, managing the execution of projects, and conducting business development activities in the Charleston area. The Project Manager will coordinate the efforts of the team to ensure successful project execution, collaborate with internal and external clients to develop project schedules and milestones, establish project deliverables, and problem solve. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with good interpersonal skills who is comfortable working in a team environment managing projects and working closely with our transportation and real estate development clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with Senior Management to grow the company
  • Assist with business development activities
  • Create and execute project scope, budget, and work plan
  • Communicate with internal staff, and external clients and vendors
  • Work with RND internal team to develop proposals and project work elements
  • Be main point of contact between RND and Client Project Manager and report on progress, next steps, risks and mitigation, budget, and schedule
  • Conduct Quality Assurance/Quality Control review of deliverables

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university (engineering or real estate preferred) but not required
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in similar role
  • Proficiency with MS Office systems
  • Ability to handle fast paced environment, multi-task, with critical attention to detail
  • Must be willing to occasionally work during non-traditional hours to support client and team needs. Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Requires effective communication skills, team player, self-motivator, and independent worker
  • Ability to interact with staff, vendors, other departments, senior management, and Client
