The Arc of the Low Country (ALC), a non-profit entity whose mission is to advocate for programs and services that provide support to parents and caregivers of persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities, held the first Getting Saucy Barbecue Sauce Competition in the fall of 2022. Twenty-one local small barbecue sauce vendors competed, and over 450 attendees participated in tasting the specialty BBQ saucy flavors while listening to local bands. After a thrilling competition, Nate’s BBQ Sauce was awarded the winner. With the success and enthusiasm of our first event, we are happy to announce Getting Saucy 2, which promises to be even more exciting than the original.
