Join Lowcountry Food Bank on Sunday, September 10 at Wannamaker Park in North Charleston for our annual Walk to Fight Hunger Presented by Parker’s Kitchen. September is Hunger Action Month, a nationwide campaign designed to inspire giving and raise awareness of food insecurity in the United States. Currently, 1 in 5 children in our community is food insecure, and 50% of the individuals we serve are children and seniors. All funds raised directly support Lowcountry Food Bank’s initiatives that are focused on leading the fight against hunger throughout the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina.
This family friendly event is open to the public. Walking routes include a 5k nature trail and a 1-mile family friendly loop. To learn about sponsorship opportunities, visit our website here.
