Pattison’s Academy, a leading organization dedicated to empowering children with disabilities, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Laura Ganci as its new Executive Director (ED), effective June 20, 2023.  Dr. Ganci brings a wealth of experience and expertise in research, analysis, and planning from her previous roles, including her most recent position as the Director of Research, Analysis, and Planning at the Children’s Services Council of Broward County Florida.

With a proven track record of strategic leadership and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children, Dr. Ganci is poised to drive Pattison’s Academy forward and further its mission of providing exceptional education and support to children with multiple disabilities.

“Dr. Ganci has played a pivotal role in shaping policies and programs that positively impacted the lives of countless children and families. Her extensive background in the field of children’s services positions her perfectly to lead Pattison’s Academy into a new era of growth and innovation,” said Laurie Sessa, Pattison’s Academy Board Chair.

Reflecting on her appointment, Dr. Ganci expressed her excitement and commitment to the organization’s vision, saying, “I am truly honored and thrilled to join the dedicated team at Pattison’s Academy as the new Executive Director. I have long admired the Academy’s unwavering dedication to empowering children with disabilities and creating inclusive educational environments. I look forward to working closely with the board, staff, students, and their families to build upon the incredible work already being done.”

To ensure continuity of services and smooth transition for our staff, students, and families, Paige Knowlson will continue on with Pattison’s through August. 

“I am honored to have served as the CEO of Pattison’s Academy and I am delighted to continue supporting the organization in a consulting capacity during this transitional period. I have full confidence in Dr.  Ganci’s ability to lead the academy into the future,” Knowlson said.
