Pinckney Partners and Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic Announce South Island Market: Johns Island’s New Premier Mixed-Use Destination

JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (August 25th, 2025) –Pinckney Partners and Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic today announce the launch of South Island Market, a new mixed-use development set to enrich Johns Island’s commercial and residential landscape.

The development is located at the southeast corner of Betsy Kerrison Parkway and River Road on Johns Island, South Carolina. The well planned 34-acre development, with over 16 acres of open space, will feature approximately 82,000 square feet among 8 buildings. The buildings are designated for retail, dining, professional services, and office space. The development will also include 79 luxury townhomes built by Toll Brothers. The strategic location boasts 1,800 linear frontage along Betsy Kerrison Parkway and 1,200 linear frontage along River Road for increased visibility and accessibility.

South Island Market is developed by Buddy and Charles Darby of Pinckney Partners. This meticulously planned project, conceptualized and executed by the development team responsible for the highly regarded Freshfields Village, will seamlessly blend sophisticated aesthetics with contemporary conveniences.
