Since 2020, Charleston Animal Society has rescued over 648 animals, through 48 transports, across 7 different states, taking our response team into hurricanes, devastating floods, and horrific large-scale cruelty cases. 

Charleston Animal Society has recently been named the sole finalist from South Carolina in the Animal Welfare Category of Land Rover’s Defender Service Awards National Competition. We are up against 4 other organizations from across the country for the chance to win a new Land Rover Defender 130 and a $25,000 grant from presenting sponsor KONG to benefit our animal rescue operations. 

The Defender would enable our team to easily make it through the difficult terrain and flooding where our help is needed most.
