The Advocates: Early Voting Has Begun!

Election day is only 12 days away and early voting has begun! Click here to see the Chamber’s PAC endorsed candidates. This November, voters in Berkeley County and Dorchester County will have the opportunity to vote “YES” to continue the penny sales tax that allows the Counties to continue their investments in road capacity and improvement projects as well as greenbelt projects. Both ballots also have a question that would allow bonding of the revenue so that some of the larger projects can be completed sooner, enabling better traffic flow and road safety as quickly as possible. After business leaders on the Regional Policy Committee (RPC), Business Advocacy Committee (BAC), Executive Committee and the Chamber Board had the chance to review both of these referenda, each body voted unanimously to support the continuation of the penny sales tax. This November, council and school boards across the Tri-County area will have new faces after the election. The Chamber’s PAC wants to provide you and your business with early access to the new decision makers in our region by hosting the PAC Winner’s Fundraiser on November 30 at 5 p.m. Take advantage of the opportunity to congratulate our winning elected officials from:
